A Professor of Veterinary Public Health, Simeon Cadmus, has urged the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) to know that strategy is better than energy.
This also came as he urged the management of the University of Ibadan (UI) to overhaul its systems to encourage serious research and academic excellence in the institution.
Cadmus made the call at the weekend, while delivering the 512th inaugural lecture of the university entitled “On the trail of two enigmatic foes: The story of an enthusiast.”
MEANWHILE, the management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti (FUOYE) has applauded the commitment of the lecturers of the institution over their dedication to work, despite being owed backlog of salaries by the Federal Government.
This was just as the management has vowed to maintain its current calendar and allow students of the university to graduate within a stipulated time.
Vice Chancellor of FUOYE, Prof. Abayomi Fasina, disclosed this, at the weekend, during the matriculation ceremony of over 7, 300 students across 12 faculties for the 2022/2023 set of students held at the university campus.
