Nigerian youths have been advised to explore social media platforms to promote quality leadership, good governance and credible elections in the country.
They were also urged to consider credibility of candidates while voting in the forthcoming February general elections over their personal interest and ethnic sentiment.
A young entrepreneur and social media influencer, Chizitere Ahubelem, popularly known as Chizzy Whizzy, gave the advice while interacting with newsmen in Owerri, Imo State, yesterday.
He also advised youths to channel their energy in promoting good policies of government in their respective social media handles instead of utilising the technology innovations for criminal purposes and hyping insecurity.
Ahubelem, who is also Coordinator, All Progressives Congress (APC) Youths and Students Council, Imo State chapter, stated that the success of the coming elections would depend on the commitment, responsiveness and participation of youths at the polls.
He urged Nigerians, especially youths, to go out en masse to collect their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), which, he said, would guarantee them the power to elect leaders of their choice.
According to him, the outcome of the coming elections would determine the future of the country; hence, the electorate would be responsible for the outcome of the polls.
The young entrepreneur, who is known for his philanthropic gestures, also drummed support for candidates of the ruling APC both at the state and federal levels.
