Premier League leaders Arsenal have agreed a £12 million deal with Chelsea for midfielder, Jorginho.
The 31-year-old midfielder is expected to sign an 18-month contract, with an option to extend for a further year.
The deal entails a £10 million fee plus £2 million in add-ons. Jorginho will have his medicals today in order to get the deal sealed as soon as possible ahead of the January transfer deadline.
Jorginho is also said to have accepted personal terms with the North-London side which will see him in the Emirates until June 2024.
The Italian is into the final six months of his Chelsea contract and the Blues are trying to land a British record transfer for Benfica central midfielder Enzo Fernandez.
Football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, tweeted Tuesday morning, “Jorginho to Arsenal, here we go! Deal agreed on £12m fee; Chelsea accept conditions and documents are being prepared.
“Personal terms agreed, contract until 2024 with option further year, Jorginho has already accepted. First contact revealed yesterday night — medical booked at Arsenal today in order to get signed/sealed.
