An anonymous donor on Tuesday handed 50 vehicles, mostly jeeps, to the Presidential Campaign Committee (PCC) of the Labour Party (LP) in Adamawa State.
Presenting the cars at the LP PCC Office in Yola, a representative of the donor, Malam Yusuf Jabatawa, said the vehicles were a personal gesture of the donor to ease movement for the Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed’s ticket.
“I’m here to represent my boss who doesn’t want the public to know who he is. This is a personal gesture by him, donating 50 vehicles for use at the party. He has taken it upon himself to take care of the logistics need of the campaign in the State,” Jabatawa said.
He asked the electorate to vote for LP on Saturday because the party’s candidate is the hope of greatness for Nigeria.
“The donor believes that the Obi-Datti is what will take us out of the despicable situation that we find ourselves in. Peter Obi and Datti Ahmed represent hope for Nigeria,” he said.
Receiving the vehicles on behalf of the LP PCC, the Coordinator of the Council in the state, Professor Caleb Fili said the donor’s decision to support the campaign council is a decision to support Nigeria because Peter Obi is Nigeria’s hope.
“Peter Obi is the person with the capacity, competence and compassion to lead. I urge Nigerians to rekindle the hope that we have by coming out on Saturday to vote for him,” he said.
