Senator representing All Progressives Congress (APC), Gombe South, Amos Bulus, has described as false, baseless and unfounded allegations that he worked against APC and its candidates at the just concluded general elections.
Bulus was accused of sabotaging APC and its candidates in some areas of the state for which a committee was raised to probe the role he played at the election The committee, consequently, found him and his counterpart representing the State Central, former Governor Danjuma Goje, a House of Representatives member and 58 other stakeholders guilty of same offence and suggested their expulsion from the APC State Working Committee (SWC).
Yesterday at a press conference in Gombe, Bulus’ Personal Assistant (Media), Felix Manasseh, also accused the party of unfairness, saying that the investigative committee didn’t invite his principal before the action was taken.
He recalled Bulus’ many contributions to the party before and during the elections, saying that Bulus’ active participation of APC presidential rally in the state led to sharing of many souvenirs to the masses at the rally.
Also, the media directorate of the Senator said that its principal led the entire APC stakeholders on September 19, 2021 to pass a vote-of-confidence on Governor Muhammadu Yahaya in Kaltungo and later led the committee to handover the certificate of vote-of-confidence to the governor at the State House.
“Similarly, Bulus donated his personal house in Bambam to serve as the zonal party office, which was acknowledged and commissioned by the zonal party officials APC North Eastern states,” he noted.
He denied any invitation by the investigative committee, saying: “While we await to be served formally with invitation by the committee in Bambam, we want to assure you that Bulus would consider the invitation and respond appropriately.”
