The emergence of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the President-elect at the just concluded general elections has put Nigeria firmly on the path to full revival from despondency and to becoming an egalitarian society.
This submission came yesterday, at a gathering of some of his friends and political associates to celebrate him on the occasion of his 71st birthday.
Senior Special Assistant to Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu on Housing, Abdul Hakeem Ejalonibu Amodu eulogised Tinubu, saying he has demonstrated democratic credentials over the years that needs to be celebrated by well-meaning Nigerians.
While Amodu said the former Lagos State Governor is a dogged and determined fighter for a just society, describing him as “a man of the people,” Engr. Mustapha Lusty, a chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), said his associates were convinced that, beginning from May 29, 2023, his government will bring prosperity, peace, a new life, economic recovery, and a meaningful life for all Nigerians, and that indeed, the nation’s eagle will soar high again amongst the commonwealth of nations.
This was as Sunday Obisesan, another chieftain of the party and former senatorial aspirant in Ekiti State, stressed that having served as a Senator and as the executive governor of Lagos State with deep legislative and executive experiences, the people were optimistic that his tenure as the next President will usher in new vistas of economic growth, security and overall good governance for youth and all Nigerians.
Amodu said: “We are in Tinubu’s school of politics and mentoring; I am not surprised that he remained focused and unwavering throughout the presidential contest. He has proved over the years to be an uncommon democrat who works assiduously for Nigeria to be great.”
According to Amodu, the story of Tinubu is one that every Nigerian, young and old, should study carefully and learn from. “Here is a man that worked against all odds to emerge as the Presidential candidate of the APC. Even more daunting was his emergence as President-elect. He weathered the storm and scaled through all the hurdles to emerge victorious and we are certain, he will surely deliver,” he added.
