The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria has accredited the accounting programmes of the Lagos State University for another period of three years.
This was contained in a statement signed by the Vice Chancellor of the university, Prof. Ibiyemi Olatunji-Bello, and made available to newsmen in Lagos on Wednesday.
Olatunji-Bello said the new accreditation of the programme was done by the professional body after satisfying the stipulated guidelines which led to the successful conduct of the exercise.
She said the new accreditation would cover the period of 2020/2021 to 2023/2024 academic sessions.
“I congratulate the Head, Department of Accounting; Dean, Faculty of Management Sciences and the entire university for the feat.
”I also want to thank the Lagos State Government for supporting the university to make the accreditation exercise a huge success.
“This development further fulfills the first strategic goal of the current administration, which is to ensure that academic and professional programmes are and remain accredited by the relevant bodies,” she said.
