Gunmen have kidnapped the paramount ruler of Mhiship Nation in Pankshin Local Council of Plateau State, His Royal Highness (HRH), Sunday Dajep.
The Guardian learnt that the incident occurred at Chip Community in Pankshin on Wednesday night. Family source told newsmen, yesterday, that gunshots were heard at the palace of the monarch at about 11:00p.m., where he was discovered abducted thereafter.
The Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) of the State Police Command, Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), Alfred Alabo, confirmed the incident.
He said investigation into the incident is ongoing to ensure that the traditional ruler is rescued unhurt, and the culprits arrested and prosecuted, according to the law.
Meanwhile, there has been no communication between the abductors and the family.
