According to Italian media Calciomercato, Nigerian defender Ola Aina could be playing his last season with Serie A side Torino as his contract expires at the end of the 2022/23 season.
The former Chelsea defender’s future at the club remains uncertain with his contract due to expire at the end of the season and has not made any intention of signing a new deal with the Maroons and could return to England.
The former Chelsea youth player has struggled with form following a series of injuries that have reduced his playing time at the Stadio Olimpico Grande.
The right-back has made 18 appearances and scored one goal in all competitions this season.
“These last four league games will be Ola Aina’s last games as a Torino player,” as quoted by Calciomercato.
“The contract that binds the Nigerian full-back to the Granata team will expire on June 30th and the renewal agreement is a long way off.
“The full-back’s will is to leave Italy and return to England, for this reason, he has already made it known that he will not extend his contract with the club.”
The Nigeria international initially arrived at Torino on a season-loan loan deal in 2018 before the transfer was made permanent the following season.
Expected to leave this summer, the former Chelsea defender has scored two goals with six assists across 110 appearances in all competitions for the Bull.
