A member of the National Working Committee of All Progressives Congress, Tolu Bankole, has hailed President Bola Tinubu over the appointment of Femi Gbajabiamila and Senator Ibrahim Hadejia as Chief of Staff and Deputy Chief of Staff respectively.
Bankole also lauded the appointment of former Minister of Special Duties, George Akume, as Secretary to the Government of the Federation.
The president made the announcement of the appointments during Friday’s meeting with members of the Progressives Governors Forum.
Reacting in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday, Bankole, who is also the National Leader of Persons with Disabilities, described the appointment as round pegs in round holes.
He said, “Considering the sterling public and private sector profiles of all the appointees, which range from being Speaker of the House of Representatives to being a two-term governor and deputy governor, I have no doubt that the country will benefit immensely from their wealth of experience.
“The nation is yearning for an astute team of patriotic, selfless, visionary, and innovative statesmen headed by the president. I have no doubt that you will bring to bear these invaluable qualities in your new assignments.
“I am confident that you will add the baker’s dozen in deploying all your arsenals to help Mr. President deliver on his Renewed Hope mandate to Nigerians. I look forward to robust engagements with you on behalf of Persons with Disabilities who expressed confidence in the new leadership through the overwhelming support given to the President at the last presidential election. I wish you all success serving our dear country in good health,” Bankole remarked.
