The Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce Industry Mines and Agriculture says it has elected new national officers that would lead the association for the next two years.
A statement from the association said that the election took place during the recently concluded 63rd Annual General Meeting in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State.
It said that the election process was conducted fairly and transparently, attracting a significant turnout of members from various chambers of commerce, industry, mines, and agriculture across the country.
According to the statement, Dele Oye emerged as the 22nd National President of NACCIMA after a closely contested election.
“He brings a wealth of experience to the role, having previously served in different capacities within the association, including as the past president of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry from 2008 to 2011.
“Alongside Oye, other officers were elected, including Jani Ibrahim as the 1st deputy president; Dr Emi Membere-Otaji as the 2nd deputy president; Prof Anthony Idigbe as the national legal adviser; Mr Gabriel Idahosa as the national treasurer and Uba Mijinyawa as the deputy national treasurer,” it stated.
