Former President Goodluck Jonathan, yesterday, met with President Bola Tinubu at the State House, Abuja. Jonathan, who spent time with the President in his office, departed without issuing a statement as to what transpired during the meeting.
Tinubu has, of recent, been meeting with politicians from different political parties and stakeholders, since assuming office on May 29. The meeting with Jonathan added to his growing list of engagements in the first two weeks in office.
It was the first time President Tinubu and one of his predecessors would be having such interaction. The President also received some government officials, including the newly inaugurated Senate President Godswill Akpabio.
Imo State governor, Hope Uzodimma, was also at the presidential villa. He was accompanied by Lagos State governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, and former Kano State governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.
Group Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited, Mele Kyari, also met with the President.
