A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kailani Muhammad, has called on President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to carry out a thorough investigation of the regime of the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, alleging that the suspended CBN governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele is “boy”.
Addressing a press conference in Kaduna, the chieftain, who expressed displeasure over the management of the apex bank, insisted that the former Emir of Kano should be investigated, being Emefiele’s predecessor.
He said: “The fight against corruption in the CBN should be extended to the tenure of Sanusi Lamido. Emefiele is Sanusi Lamido Sanusi’s boy.”
Muhammad, however, said that all stolen monies should be returned to the nation’s account to uplift the country’s economy and improve the livelihood of the citizens.
“We want prosperity and development of our country. We want our children to get quality education and good jobs. The stolen fund, I am sure, will be enough for us to get the country running,” he observed.
