Governor Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti State has appealed to the outgoing chairmen of local governments/local council development areas in the state, to put behind them acrimonies, and hope for a better future.
The governor noted that the future is still bright for those who had done exceedingly well in serving the people.
Oyebanji stated this on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti, at a valedictory luncheon organised in honour of the outgoing Chairmen of Local Government / Local Council Development Areas, by the Ministry of Local Government Affairs.
The Governor also scored them high for their outstanding performance in their respective council areas, saying their efforts in the last two years have been satisfactory.
The event which was also graced by the Deputy Governor, Chief Monisade Afuye, came a day ahead of the inauguration of newly elected council chairmen billed for today.
