IN a bid to sustain cordial relationship with its host communities, Nigerdock, an oil and gas industry service firm, has handed over Corporate Social Responsibility, CRS, projects valued at N1.5 billion to Igbologun, a Lagos community. The projects include schools, buses Police stations among others.
Speaking at the handing over ceremony, Managing Director of Nigerdock, Mr. Maher Jamakani, said that the world class facilities that have been donated to the community will help improve the lives of the people of the community, adding that the community has also been connected to a twenty-four power source of Nigerdock
Jamakani disclosed that the school has a capacity for 800 students, adding that the school will also be provided with non-stop power supply.
He explained that the community has been connected to Eko Distribution Company for a twenty-four hour power supply.
He said: “This school has capacity to contain 800 students and we will be providing all the power and support for the school going forward and the support will also go to all the communities here at Igbologun and neighbouring communities.
“These projects cost Nigerdock N1.5 billion and the projects include a new police station that we just built. We built a new road measuring about one and half kilometers, which will connect the community to the waterfront, and we bought two school buses”.
