Nigeria’s track star, Tobi Amusan, has asserted that she feels no pressure to secure a gold medal at the Paris 2024 Olympics despite her second-place finish at the Atlanta City Games. Amusan finished behind America’s Kendra Harrison in the early hours of Sunday.
In an interview with Making of Champions following the race, the American-based athlete emphasized her focus on enjoying the process and sticking to her plan. “No pressure, just having fun. One day at a time, one race at a time. When it’s time for Paris, we’ll definitely show up in Paris,” Amusan remarked.
She continued, “I’m not really worried about time; I just want to execute and get the win. That’s most important. It’s something me and my coaches have been working on, so when we get to championships, we will be worried about time.”
