President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has charged stakeholders and members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the North Central geopolitical zone to remain focused and united for the development of the party and the country.
He gave the charge during the North Central Zonal Stakeholders meeting of the APC held on Saturday, May 25, in Lafia, the Nasarawa State capital.
Represented by the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Sen. George Akume, President Tinubu who stressed the importance of unity among party members said that only unity can ensure the progress of both the party and the country.
He lauded the North Central governors for their efforts in implementing impactful projects and sought continued support and prayers to ensure the success of his administration.
He said that his administration was committed to developing policies that would guarantee infrastructure and economic stability to better the lot of Nigerians.
Speaking at the event, the National Chairman of All Progressive Congress (APC), Dr Abdullahi Ganduje, said that the introduction of e-registration was being carried out to maintain accurate membership of the party in the country.
He lauded the North Central APC leaders for inviting him to the meeting and emphasized the need for unity of the part and that of the nation to enhance development.
Kwara state governor, AbdulRahman Abdulurazaq who serves as the North Central APC Coordinator, disclosed that the meeting was organized to discuss issues that would advance the unity of the party and foster interaction among party stakeholders.
in their separate speeches, Nasarawa state governor, Abdullahi Sule, his Kogi State counterpart, Usman Ododo and that of Benue state, Hyacinth Alia, all reechoed and called for unity of the party.
They stressed that the only instrument that can guarantee party progress and development is unity and cooperation among its stakeholders and members.
