Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, on Tuesday, marked his 59th birthday with 250 kids from 17 special schools across the state.
The Programme tagged “Mr Governor’s Day With Children Living with Disabilities”, was organised by the State Executive Council and held at the banquet hall of the First Lady’s office, Lagos House Alausa, Ikeja.
Giving the vote of thanks, Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, thanked the Governor for his love for children especially those with special needs.
She promised on behalf of the Governor and the State’s Executive Council to give the children and their teachers bags of rice while also appreciating them for celebrating with the Governor.
Earlier in his sermon during the thanksgiving service organised as part of the celebrations, the presiding Chaplain, Chapel of the Lagos House, Marina, Reverend Dele Ajayi, said the Governor’s birthday was worth celebrating for God’s faithfulness over his life and family.
He prayed that God would grant Governor Sanwo-Olu all his heart desires and give him the wisdom to fulfil God’s purpose for Lagos State
