On Friday, armed robbers invaded the premises of a commercial bank at Ughelli Local Government Area of Delta State, robbing a customer of an undisclosed sum of money.
A private security guard and two others were reportedly shot by the gang of five, who stormed the bank in a Toyota Venza.
New Telegraph gathered that the customer was trailed to the bank premises by the unidentified hoodlums, who shot sporadically before attacking their victim who was yet to enter the banking hall.
It was further gathered that the robbers made away with three “Ghana Must Go” bags containing money.
The incident caused panic among customers and residents of Isoko Road in Otovwodo, where the bank is located.
Confirming the development, the Spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe said, “A bank customer was double-crossed before he could get to the bank. It’s not a bank robbery.”
