The Chairman of the New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) in Kano State, Hashimu Sulaiman Dungurawa, has said that the party will still field Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for the Presidential candidature in 2027, assuring that Kwankwaso would be the next President of Nigeria.
“We are going to field Kwankwaso as our Party Presidential candidate in 2027, because for now he stands as the only person who will make it to the Presidency and he stands the chances of becoming the next President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, God willing”.
The NNPP Chairman, however, said, “Kano, has never witnessed a wicked Governor like Abdullahi Ganduje who’s wickedness did not leave behind even a pathetic thousand of civil service retirees”.
Dungurawa worried that “the sufferings and misgovernance of Ganduje still languished on Kano people’s, with the retirees left behind to wallow in destitution and abject poverty”.
“You can see that after refusing to pay the retirees the gratuities, even their monthly Pension the Government of Ganduje applied deductions method which though was illegal, which at the end of his eight years in office was said to have illegally deducted well over N5.4 Billion”.
Hashimu Dungurawa also outline the achievements of the NNPP Government in Kano, saying that in the last one-year they have done marvellously in Education, Agriculture, Works and other sectors being touched by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf.

The Chairman of the ruling New Nigeria Peoples Party(NNPP) in the state, Alhaji Hashimu Suleiman Dungurawa, disclosed this while highlighting the achievements of the NNPP-Controlled Government in the state in the last one-year.
Dungurawa said the CRCs would conduct such repairs on primary and secondary school buildings in their respective areas as fixing broken doors, gates and windows,re-painting and evacuation of toilets.
He said the initiative was part of the efforts of the administration to revamp primary and secondary school education which he said had suffered neglect over the years.
He said to ensure inclusiveness, the CRCs had as its members village heads, Chief Imams, youth leaders, labour unions and members of opposition parties.
The Chairman said the CRCs were sponsored by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf’s administration as part of its efforts to ensure the development of all communities in the state.
He noted that the administration had been delivering on the mandate freely given to it by the people of the state, executing development projects in such sectors as education, health and agriculture.
He said the government allocated about 30 per cent of its 2024 budget to the education sector, which he described as unprecedented.
Dungurawa also said the Government sponsored more than 1000 students from the state to pursue higher degrees in foreign universities.
He also said that the administration had settled registration fees of about N1 billion for more than 700 students of the state studying in various universities in the country.
He said the gesture would be sustained till the students graduate from their respective universities
