The new Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF), Barr. Oluwaseun Faleye, and the Executive Director, Operations, Rt. Hon. Mojisolaoluwa Alli Macaulay, on Tuesday assumed duties, with a vow to leave the Fund better than they met it.
A statement signed by General Manager, Corporate Affairs, NSITF, Nwachukwu Godson, noted that the new MD during a short handover ceremony at the headquarters of the Fund, said his mission was to join other stakeholders to reengineer the organisation and reposition it as the apex social security agency.
According to Faleye, his administration will carry out an organisational restructuring to improve the NSITF for operational efficiency, even as he expressed optimism in his ability to competently and efficiently drive the Fund despite the huge responsibilities it presents.
He said: “My mission in this organization is to join the existing stakeholders to build a much more sustainable organisation,” said Faleye, an accomplished legal practitioner, corporate finance expert and public intellectual.
“I am new and yet to know all the issues and find solutions to them but if we put our heads together, we shall be able to build a much more vibrant NSITF that can deliver its mandate to its key stakeholders including the Nigerian workers and employers as well as the staff of the fund.
“Please bear in mind that my intention is to leave this organisation much better than I met it today. It is a worthwhile dream, given the impact we have in the generality of the world of work. “At the core of this is some level of organisational restructuring and I have no doubt about that.
