Top actor, Emeka Ike who recently staged a comeback to acting after a long absence from the industry has recounted the landmark progress he made while he was away. In a chat with NollyNow, the actor said his absence from the industry gave him the opportunity to build more iconic brands for himself.
“My absence wasn’t really bad because it created room for me to build more brands apart from Emeka Ike you know. I now own Nollywood TV on Startimes and I am building other brands that are highly in demand,”Emeka Ike stated. He added that his absence from the industry also provided him with the opportunity to delve into politics.
The actor, who’s known for his roles in movies such as “Deadly Affair”, “Not Man Enough”, “Passion, Pain and Foreign Affair” and “Wayward Child”, said he’s back to entertain his fans and do that which is expected of him as one of the pioneer actors in Nollywood. “We are breaking the ice once again. I want to keep entertaining my fans and give them what is expected from me,” the actors added.
Recall that Emeka Ike, disappeared from the screen, after his marriage to half-Dutch and half-Nigerian Suzanne crashed. The marriage, which was contracted in 2000 and blessed with four children, crashed in 2015.
