E x-international, Ifanyi Udeze, has warned Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen, against staying at his Serie A side Napoli, urging him to force a move away from the former champions this summer.
He said the body language of the new Napoli coach Antonio Conte shows the Nigerian is not regarded and could suffer for playing time if he decided to stay put for another season “I can tell you for free that Osimhen will not be the No 1 striker (at Napoli) should they sign (Romelu) Lukaku,” Udeze predicted.
“I don’t trust Conte. That’s why he has to find his way out of the club.” Conte and Lukaku enjoyed Serie A success with Inter Milan in the 2020/2021 season and various reports said Napoli have been pushing to buy the Belgium striker from Chelsea.
At the same time, latest reports have suggested that Osimhen is now having a rethink about quitting Napoli as negotiations between PSG and Napoli have stalled.
