The three-day Squash competition which started on Thursday at the Ikoyi Club 1938 ends today at the elite club.
A total of 36 players from nine top clubs in Lagos State took part in the competition tagged RSA Squash Open. Sports Bridge International (SBI) and Ikoyi Club 1938, in partnership with Zenith Bank Plc are the host of this tournament which has been highly explosive from Day One.
This year’s participating clubs are Ikoyi Club 1938, Old Trafford, Lagos Country Club, Ivory Health Club, Lagos Lawn, Apapa Club, UNILAG Staff Club, Yellow Dot, and Eko Club. The ages of participants range from 30 to 77.
Rerhe Idonije, Co-founder/ CEO Sports Bridge International and convener of this 2024 RSA Squash Open on Friday said all was set for the final of the tournament which had events in Men, Women and Veterans categories.
“It has been a big event with the level of competition and overall standard of play. We are also excited that all the participating clubs are happy about the event,” Idonije said.
Akinsope Roberts, Chairman Squash Section of Ikoyi Club commended all the participating team and added that the final today would be highly interesting.
