Protesters have stormed the Sir Kashim Ibrahim government house in Kaduna state following the ongoing nationwide protests.
The angry protesters with different inscriptions, “Bring Back fuel subsidy, end banditry and Boko Haram, End bad governance in Nigeria, Enough is Enough for hunger and poverty”, barricaded the entrance of government house on Thursday.
One of the protesters, Ibrahim Bello while speaking with newsmen re-emphasized on the need for government to meet up her constitutional responsibilities, by making life more comfortable for the citizens. Bello also demanded the immediate reversal of fuel subsidy, electricity tariff and squarely address the insecurity challenges ravaging the country.
No government official came out to address the teaming youths as at the time of filing this report, meanwhile, security agencies are on red alert to avoid the breakdown of law and order.
The protesters are also seen in different major roads across the state, like Ahmadu Bello way, Constitution road, Ungwan Sarki amongst others demanding for good governance.
Businesses are also shut across major towns, while major roads deserted without the usual vehicular and human traffic.
The rate of mobilization especially in Kaduna North Local Government is high, as more youths continue to join the street protest. This, if not control may result to the breakdown of law and order.
