Former Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Barr. Solomon Dalung on Thursday joined hundreds of protesters in Jos, Plateau State capital, calling for good governance and social justice.
The protesters, who gathered at the Secretariat Junction Flyover, marched to the Old Airport Roundabout, opposite NASCO, demanding an end to bad governance in Nigeria.
Dalung while Addressing the crowd, urged security operatives not to intimidate protesters, citing their constitutional right to peaceful assembly.
The former minister expressed concern over the suffering of Nigerians, emphasizing the need for the government to address the country’s challenges.
Protesters carried placards with messages such as “We deserved Nigeria with security and value of lives” and “We deserved a Nigeria with good rural and urban roads, a Nigeria where accountability and prudence is a national culture.”
Dalung’s participation in the protest highlights the growing discontent among Nigerians, including prominent figures, with the current state of governance.
The #EndBadGovernance protest in Plateau State was part of a nationwide demonstration against hardship and hunger in Nigeria.
