RC Strasbourg has officially announced the signing of 17-year-old prospect Rayane Messi from National 1 side Dijon FCO.
The highly-rated winger will join Strasbourg’s academy for the upcoming season, with the club confirming the move.
Messi, who has already attracted attention despite having only four professional appearances, was previously on the radar of several top French clubs, including Olympique de Marseille.
However, Marseille opted out of the race due to Dijon’s initial €4 million asking price.
According to reports from Mohamed Toubache-Ter, Strasbourg secured the young talent for a significantly reduced fee of approximately €1.2 million, including bonuses.
The BlueCo-owned club has confirmed that Messi will be integrated into their development side for the upcoming campaign.
A France U17 international, Messi has signed a three-year contract with RC Strasbourg, keeping him at the club until the summer of 2027.
The signing reflects Strasbourg’s continued investment in nurturing young talent for future success.
