Nasarawa State Governor, Abdullahi Sule has expressed shock over the brutal killing of the states’ coordinator of FADAMA III project, Hassan Yahaya Egwa.
He, however, directed security agencies in the state to carryout diligent investigation with the view to arresting the perpetrators of the heinous crime.
In a press statement signed by Chief Press Secretary to Governor, Ibrahim Addra and made available to newsmen yesterday in Lafia, said governor Sule gave the directive when he paid a condolence visit to the residence of the deceased FADAMA III project, Hassan Yahaya Egwa, in Lafia,
Governor Sule said the late Hassan was a brilliant and committed young man who gave his best to uplift the lives of the people through the NG-Cares programme in the state, saying his dedication, selfless service to the state and his pleasant disposition will be missed.
The governor directed security agencies in the state to carry diligent investigations to pursue, fish out the perpetrators of dastard act and bring them to book.
The statement quoted governor Sule as saying, “Criminality does not have a place in our society, urging all to shun crime while reiterating government’s resolve to prioritize security and welfare of the people”
He urged the deceased family, colleagues and friends to take solace in the many contributions of Hassan to society, while praying that Allah grant his soul eternal rest in Jannat Firdausi.
