The Governor of Katsina State, Dikko Radda on Sunday resumed official duties on the State after following a one-month break.
Sunday Telegraph reports that during this period, the Deputy Governor of the State, Faruk Lawal Jobe acted in his stead.
Announcing his returns, Governor Radda in a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Ibrahim Mohammed said he has embarked on a five-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China from August 18-23, 2024, to explore investment opportunities and enhance bilateral relations.
The statement partly reads, “As part of his administration’s efforts to foster global partnerships, Katsina State Governor, Malam Dikko Umaru Radda has embarked on a five-day official visit to the People’s Republic of China.”
Accompanied by key officials including the Commissioner for Agriculture and Livestock Development and the Commissioner for Trade, Commerce, and Investment, Radda will meet with Chinese government officials and business leaders.
The visit aims to foster global partnerships and advance investment in Katsina State.
“This working visit marks Governor Radda’s first official assignment following his return from one-month constitutional leave, during which Deputy Governor Mallam Faruk Lawal Jobe served in an acting capacity,”Mohammed said.
