The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) has approved key management appointments and redeployment in acting capacity to enhance strategic service delivery.
The Comptroller General of Customs (CGC), Bashir Adewale Adeniyi noted that the appointments were made following the statutory retirement of some members of the management team.
The National Public Relations Officer, Abdullahi Maiwada said in a statement issued on Friday that B.M Jibo has been redeployed as Deputy Comptroller General, Finance Administration and Technical Services; O A Alajogun, Acting Deputy Comptroller General, Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I); I G Umar, Acting Assistant Comptroller General, Headquarters; O A Salefu, Acting Assistant Comptroller General, Training and Doctrine Command;
B A Makinde, Acting Assistant Comptroller General, Human Resource Development and T Bomodi, acting assistant comptroller general, Enforcement, Inspection and Investigation (EI&I).
According to Maiwada, the appointments were a testament of the officers’ exemplary services and dedication to the Nigeria Customs Service.
He said: “The service remain committed to providing strategic leadership to ensure effective and efficient service delivery for optimum performance.
While thanking the retired members of the management for their meritorious services, the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi congratulated the newly appointed officers and charged them to redouble their efforts to ensure the Service achieves greater heights in its mandates of revenue generation, suppression of smuggling and trade facilitation.”
