The Registrar and Chief Executive, National Examinations Council (NECO), Prof. Dantani Ibrahim Wushishi has been elected into the Executive Council of the Association For Educational Assessment in Africa (AEAA).
Prof. Wushishi was elected as the West Africa Representative in the Executive Council at the just concluded 40th Conference of the Association held at the Century City Conference Centre and Hotels, Cape Town, South Africa.
A statement signed by Ag. Director, Directorate of Information and Public Relations of NECO, Azeez Sani and made available to newsmen on Sunday in Abuja, noted that Wushishi
would serve in the 8-member Executive Council with members drawn from other Examination bodies across Africa.
The Association of Educational Assessment in Africa was established in 1982 with the aim to promote co-operation amongst Examining and Assessment bodies in Africa.
The statement partly reads: “The Association is saddled with harmonization of Educational Assessment in the African Continent.
“This year’s Conference has the Theme: Reimaging Education Assessment In The Age Of Multiple Dimension Of Learning In A Global Society.
“The Conference which started on 19th August, was concluded on 23rd August, 2024 with over 21 active primary members as well as other Public and Private institutions and organizations from across the world in attendance.”
The reality is that the election is right around the corner and many votes wont even happen. Get out and vote.
