The Court of Appeal in Abuja has dismissed the appeal filed by Arthur Esene and Anselm Ojezua, governorship aspirants of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State, seeking to disqualify Asue Ighodalo, the party’s candidate for the September 21 governorship election.
In the ruling delivered by Justice Hamma Barka, the court upheld the previous decision of the Federal High Court, which rejected the case as time-barred and lacking merit.
The appellants were ordered to pay N3 million in costs to Ighodalo, the PDP, and INEC.
