Isaac Omodewu, the late Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State has been laid to rest on Friday, September 13, 2024, in his hometown in Otu, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of the State.
Dignitaries at the event include the National Chairman of the party, Abdullahi Ganduje, and other prominent figures from Oyo State.
Omodewu, who passed away on August 18, 2024, was remembered as a committed leader who played a pivotal role in advancing the APC’s agenda in Oyo State.
His leadership contributions were pointed out in the various tributes that poured in during the burial ceremony.
Many remembered him as a man who dedicated his life to public service and political development, leaving behind a legacy of loyalty and determination.
Senators and members of the APC caucus from Oyo State were also present, with some recounting his steadfastness and dedication to the party’s progress.
His passing has left a significant void in Oyo APC leadership, and his impact will be felt for years to come.
The funeral service was an emotional one, with family, friends, and colleagues paying their last respects to the late chairman, whose influence in state politics was widely acknowledged.
It would be recalled that Omodewu’s died after a medical trip to the United States (US).
The funeral also saw traditional rulers and community leaders from Oyo State in attendance, marking the importance of his role in both political and local spheres.
