In a significant political shift, Sani Dambo, the Special Adviser on Investment to Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State, has resigned from his position and defected to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
Dambo’s departure from the New Nigeria People Party (NNPP) follows the resignation of Abdulraham Mai Kadama, a Senior Special Assistant to the governor, who also joined the APC on August 15.
Joining Dambo in the APC is Rabiu Alhassan Durun, another prominent NNPP figure.
The two politicians were welcomed into the APC by Barau Jibrin, the Deputy Senate President, at his Abuja residence.
Jibrin expressed his enthusiasm for the new additions, emphasizing their potential to enhance the party’s efforts both in Kano and nationally.
“Today, I welcomed Alhaji Sani Abdulkadir Dambo and Alhaji Rabiu Alhassan Durun into the APC.
“Their decision reflects a commitment to our vision for Nigeria and a belief in our collective mission. Their expertise and loyalty will contribute significantly to our transformative goals,” he said.
