After missing out on signing Super Eagles striker, Victor Osimhen, during the last transfer window, English Premier League side, Chelsea, are currently monitoring another Nigerian star, Victor Boniface, as the club have been sending scouts to monitor the Bayern Leverkusen target man.
Reports are suggesting that Chelsea are keeping a close eye on Boniface as a possible transfer target next summer transfer. According to TBR Football, Chelsea scouts have been monitoring the 23-year-old’s performances in recent weeks.
Despite the forms of Christopher Nkunku and Nicolas Jackson, manager Enzo Maresca is still looking to bolster the team’s attacking options. Boniface, who has excelled at Leverkusen over the past 14 months, could potentially fill that role.
The striker, formerly of Union Saint-Gilloise, is currently valued at £60 million and is under contract with Bayer Leverkusen until 2028.
This season, he has already scored four goals and provided one assist in six appearances for Die Werkself across all competitions.
