Joe Igbokwe, a chieftain and prominent member of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) on Saturday remarked that those who will rescue Nigeria have not been born.
Igbokwe, a strong supporter of President Bola Tinubu in the buildup to the 2023 general elections, said this while commenting on the disturbing costs of living in the country.
Taking to his official Facebook page on Friday, Igbokwe lamented that a bag of rice now costs N100,000.
“With all the rice mills we have in Nigeria, my wife just told me that a bag of rice is now N100,000 plus. Without sounding immodest, I am constrained to say that the men and women that will rescue this country from self-inflicted pains and tears are not born yet,” Igbokwe lament.
New Telegraph recalls that the former Lagos State Commissioner has been critical of some policies of Tinubu administration, marking a departure from what he stood for.
Meanwhile, two weeks ago, he lamented over the hike in electricity tariff, asking Tinubu to look into it.
Keep up the fantastic work!
