Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno, has described his late wife, Pastor Patience Eno, as a virtuous woman.
Governor Eno extolled her as his lifelong companion, saying he will “Miss her for a lifetime.”
In an emotional broadcast titled “We Are Perplexed But Not in Despair,” Eno shared his grief nine days after the sudden passing of his wife.
The governor expressed deep gratitude to all who have supported him during this time, including President Bola Tinubu, and the people of Akwa Ibom.
He thanked the public for their prayers, condolences, and suspended political activities, acknowledging the immense love shown to his family.
“Her Excellency, Pastor Patience Umo Eno, was everything a man could ever wish for in a virtuous woman.
“I will miss her for a lifetime,” Eno said, nothing her role as his prayer partner, counsellor, and critic.
It would be recalled the first lady died after a brief illness on September 26.
Since her demise at age 57, the state has been thrown into a state of mourning.
Eno’s speech marks his first public outing since the sudden death of his wife.
