The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, has reunited two wandering children with their parents.
According to the State Commandant, Michael Adaralewa, on Thursday, August 29, personnel on patrol found a 12-year-old boy wandering around Lameco in Osogbo at 11 pm.
The boy said, according to a statement signed by the command’s Public Relations Officer, ASC Kehinde Adeleke, that he ran away from his guardian’s house due to inadequate food, emphasing that the guardian only gives him two meals a day and he doesn’t get satisfied.
Upon reuniting him with his guardian, it was revealed that the boy has a high appetite and no matter the quantity of food given, he remains unsatisfied.
Also, on Saturday, August 31, an 8-year-old girl was found wandering at Apara Area, Osunjela, Ilesha Road, Osun State and was taken to the nearest NSCDC office by a good Samaritan.
She was later reunited with her parents. Commandant Adaralewa commended the public for their collaboration just as he appealed for proactive intelligence to ensure the safety of children, especially during this holiday period.
