As Muslim Ummah across the world celebrates Eid-Ul-Maulud to mark the birthday anniversary of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), Governor Nasir Idris of Kebbi State has requested the Muslim Ummah in Nigeria to fervently pray for God’s intervention and guidance for President Bola Tinubu in his commitment to ensuring peace, unity and development in the country.
A Statement issued by Abdullahi Idris Zuru, Special Adviser, Communication and Strategy said Governor Idris stated this in his goodwill message to the people of Kebbi State in commemoration of the birth of the revered Prophet.
The governor observed that this year’s anniversary was being celebrated at a time the country needs genuine and committed prayers for Allah’s mercy and divine intervention in the calamity of armed banditry and unimaginable flood disaster.
Comrade Nasir said although he believed that the occurrence of the multiple calamities was destined by Allah, he equally strongly believed that with total submission to Allah through fervent prayers, the situation can be overcome.
He stressed, “The celebration has afforded us another opportunity to pray hard for our leaders at all levels to succeed.”
He expressed gratitude to Allah for granting him the wisdom and ability to positively transform the well-being of the people.
The governor further solicited for continuous prayers and support from the people of Kebbi State, particularly the Ulamas, for God’s blessings and guidance for his relentless effort in providing result oriented service delivery.
