The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Plateau State has secured 15 chairmanship seats in the Local Government elections held on Wednesday, according to Hon. Plangji Daniel Cishak, Chairman of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission (PLSIEC).

While announcing the lection results, Cishak stated that the PDP candidates have won 15 out of 17 Local Government Area (LGA) chairmanship positions.
The winning LGAs include Barkin Ladi, Mikang, Shendam, Bassa, Riyom, Jos South, Jos East, Kanam, Quanapan, Langtang South, Jos North, Kanke, Bokkos, Wase and Mangu respectively.
While announcing the election results, Cishak stated that the PDP candidates have won 15 out of 17 Local Government Area (LGA) chairmanship positions.
The winning LGAs include Barkin Ladi, Mikang, Shendam, Bassa, Riyom, Jos South, Jos East, Kanam, Quanapan, Langtang South, Jos North, Kanke, Bokkos, Wase and Mangu respectively.
Results for the remaining two Local Government are Pankshin and Langtang North are still pending.
Cishak reported that the election was conducted smoothly across the state, without any significant issues, and was deemed free, fair, and credible.
This development comes after an impressive turnout was recorded in the Plateau LG elections, particularly in Jos South and Jos North Local Government Areas.
