Senator Ibrahim Shekarau, a prominent politician and former Governor of Kano State, has called for reforms in the operational tactics of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Shekarau who spoke on Channels Television on Tuesday said the agency should be more strategic and proactive rather than reacting like traditional Nigerian security forces.
He, however, referenced the recent confrontation between the EFCC and ex-Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello.
He termed the situation as “Embarrassing” and urged the EFCC to evaluate and improve its operational methods for better transparency and efficiency.
