Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of Ondo State and governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) has declared the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) dead ahead of the November 16th governorship election.
Aiyedatiwa was in Igbobini, Kiribo Igbotu, and other communities in the Ese-Odo local government, the constituency of his main challenger, Hon Agboola Alfred Ajayi as part of the campaign for the November 16 governorship election in the state.
Speaking at Igbobini, the governor challenged the people to speak with their votes by exercising their franchise for the APC in the upcoming election, saying the main opposition, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), no longer exists in the state.
His words, “I want to thank you for your patience as we gathered here today. I salute your love, unity, and support for us and the party. I will reciprocate this gesture after the election.
“No doubt, we have initiated many projects, and we will do more. Our roads, schools, and hospitals are receiving attention. We have also ensured the state’s security. We are also employing more teachers in the school. So, come November 16, you must troop out en mass and vote for our party (APC) in the election.
“I want you to use our vote to chase away other political parties. As you know, all the gladiators in the PDP, are now with us. We have torn the umbrella of the main opposition party into shreds. In this coming election, your vote must be for the APC.”
Aiyedatiwa appreciated members of the APC for their steadfastness, noting that their support and loyalty have continued to make the ruling party wax stronger in the state.
While noting that his administration would continue to initiate more developmental projects across the state if elected to retain power, Aiyedatiwa said the government has invested heavily in the areas of education, health, and the construction of good roads and infrastructures.
He solicited the support of the people, urging them to troop out en-masse by ensuring they exercise their franchise without fear, asking his supporters not to relent in their house-to-house campaign for his victory in the election.
At Kiribo, where he was warmly received by an enthusiastic crowd of supporters, Aiyedatiwa expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support, emphasizing the importance of the upcoming election. He urged them to remain steadfast in their commitment to the progress his administration has initiated.
Similarly, at Igbotu, Aiyedatiwa addressed the people, encouraging them to vote wisely on November 16. He urged them to cast their ballots for the APC to secure a brighter future for the state.
The governor warned against voting for other political parties, emphasizing that such votes could jeopardize the continuity of development efforts.
His words, “Your vote is your power; don’t waste your votes on parties that have no clear plan for Ondo State.”
