Eberechi Eze netted from the penalty restoring the home side’s two-goal advantage. But Moroccan defender, Nayef Aguerd gave West Ham their third.
Since Roy Hodgson’s return to Palace, they have won four times, a draw and a loss.
Crystal Palace have overtaken Chelsea in 11th place, while David Moyes’s side remains in 15th, with four points above Leeds United.
