Super Eagles striker, Asisat Oshoala, scored a brace on Wednesday night in Barcelona’s UEFA Women’s Champions League 6-0 win against Rosengard, a day after receiving her Pichichi Award for finishing as top scorer in the 2021/22 Spain Primera Division Women League season.
Her goals helped Barcelona set the record for the most scored by a team in the competition’s group stage.
The five times CAF Women Footballer of the year scored first in the 10th minute and then added the second goal in the 16th minute.
Mapi Leon scored Barca’s third just before the break to give them a three-goal lead.
Three second-half goals from Fridolina Rolfo, Marta Torrejon, and Irene Paredes sealed a comfortable 6-0 win for the Spanish Queens.
The 28-year-old Nigeria forward was substituted in the 81st minute and replaced with Victoria Lopez. The win ensured Barcelona sit top in Group D with 15 points from six games and qualified for the quarter-finals.
