Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu has sworn-in the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), ‘Bimbola Salu-Hundeyin; the Chief of Staff, Mr. Tayo Ayinde and the Deputy Chief of Staff, Mr. Gboyega Shoyanwo, charging them not to derail the Greater Lagos agenda.
Speaking after Salu-Hundeyin, Ayinde and Shoyanwo took oath of office and allegiance, Sanwo-Olu said his administration’s commitment was to surpass all the achievements it recorded during his first tenure.
He, therefore, implored the newly sworn-in cabinet members to bring their best of knowledge and talent on board.
Sanwo-Olu maintained that “Lagos believes in excellence and it is the reason the best is always brought forward.”
He said as key members of his cabinet, they were deserving of their new offices.
Sanwo-Olu maintained that they must see their appointments as a call to service to achieve the Greater Lagos agenda.
The state Head of Service, Hakeem Muri-Okunola, who introduced the appointees and read their profile, said that the high expectations of the increasing population of Lagos is not only that the present administration should meet the standard recorded in the first term but also surpass it.
Speaking on behalf of the three appointees, Salu-Hundeyin, thanked God and the governor for appointing them. She also on behalf of the appointees pledged total loyalty to the governor.
Commenting after the ceremony, Ayinde said his re-appointment was the Lord’s doing and it was marvelous in His sight.
He promised to work with the governor to achieve the administration’s agenda.
