The Social Democratic Party House of Representatives candidate for Oyo Federal Constituency in the forthcoming elections, Akinyemi Ogunniyi, has promised to sponsor bills that will ease the economic hardship of his constituents if elected.
According to a statement on Tuesday, Ogunniyi made the promise while speaking with journalists during a free fuel distribution programme organised for over 800 commercial cyclists and motorists in his constituency in Atiba and Afijio.
He said, “The Christmas relief programme organised for the cyclists and motorists is part of my agenda to move motions and sponsor bills that will ease the hardship of the economy if voted for as a member of the House of Representatives to represent Oyo Federal Constituency in the 2023 general elections.
“The cyclists and motorists were given free fuel to aid their businesses with over 200 cyclists and motorists in Atiba, Oyo East, Oyo West and Afijio who benefited from the kind gesture initiated by Akinyemi Ogunniyi.
“The move is part of my vision to create a robust economy in Oyo Federal Constituency and relieve the masses from the hardship.”
