Fulham has made an initial offer of £15m for Nigerian defender, Calvin Bassey.
Ajax is yet to respond to the bid, with Bassey still having four years left on his contract, according to the Athletic.
The 23-year-old is also a subject of interest from Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Nigeria international joined Ajax last year, following two successful seasons at Glasgow Rangers, where he played 65 games and won both the league title in 2021 and the Scottish Cup the following year.
During his time at Ajax, Bassey appeared in 39 matches, contributing one goal and five assists.
Prior to his move to Rangers, he came through Leicester City’s youth academy and made his international debut for Nigeria in March 2022, and has earned 10 caps for the Super Eagles ever since.
Fulham, who finished 10th last season, are hoping to improve this season and have already tied former Chelsea and Arsenal winger Willian to a new one-year contract after his deal expired in the summer.
