The management of Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, (ABUAD), at the weekend, cautioned new students against vices and anti-social behaviours capable of ruining their bright and thriving future.
It warned that any code of conduct breached by any of the students would attract commensurate sanctions, urging the matriculating students to avoid bad company.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Smaranda Olarinde, gave the warning at the 14th matriculation ceremony of 1,907 students of the university held at the weekend in Ado-Ekiti.
He, however, informed the students that “the vision of the institution is to reform and provide functional education by example and lead others in quality education, industry, service and character as well as discipline”.
The Founder and Chancellor, Chief Afe Babalola (SAN), charged the students on industry, service and character, saying that they would achieve everything in life if they abide by the rules and regulations of the institution.
