Afro-focused multinational company, Shalina Healthcare, recently marked 40 years of operation in Africa, reiterating unwavering commitment to delivering quality healthcare at affordable cost across the continent.
At the event marking the company’s 2023/24 financial year end and 40th anniversary, the leadership emphasised core mission. Shalina executives highlighted their 40-year history of trust with Africans and their dedication to building a healthier Africa through accessible and affordable products.
Despite economic challenges, Shalina remains committed to its core values, even as the leadership showcased plans for expansion in Nigeria, aiming to become the country’s leading healthcare brand.
The leadership also acknowledged outstanding staff members with awards for their contributions in the past year. The event featured inspiring speeches from the leadership team.
The Chief Commercial Officer for West Africa, Arun Raj,emphasised the company’s unwavering commitment: “For 40 years, we’ve built trust by offering high-quality products at accessible prices.”
This sentiment resonated throughout the evening, with Nirmal Jain, CEO of Shalina Consumer Global, adding, “We believe every African deserves access to good healthcare products.”
Shalina isn’t just about products. Debajeet Mukherjee, CEO of Shalina Pharma Global, highlighted their broader impact: “Through various initiatives and healthcare interventions, Shalina has consistently raised the bar for healthcare delivery across Africa.”
This commitment extends even in challenging times, as Mr Mukherjee stressed, “Economic hardships shouldn’t limit access to quality healthcare. That’s why, unlike some companies leaving Nigeria, we’re expanding our team here. We have immense faith in this nation’s potential.”
Opeyemi Akinyele, Managing Director for Nigeria, echoed this optimism. She declared Shalina’s ambition to become “the number one healthcare brand in Nigeria, continuously promoting the best healthcare practices.”
Shalina’s dedication to its employees was also evident. The event featured an awards ceremony recognizing outstanding staff across various categories.
