Bantamweight women’s champion Jane Osigwe stole the show at the inaugural Mixed Martial Arts tournament tagged African Knockout Championship held during the Sallah celebration in Abuja.
Osigwe delivered a stunning performance by defeating Togolese champion Jibidar Cynthia via TKO in just 1.33 seconds.
Elated after her victory, Jane told reporters, “This victory is the result of everyday training and hard work. It is a natural gift. I hope to be in Abuja again for a bigger fight.”
She also expressed her ambition to clinch the world title, setting her sights high for the future.
The event, held at the Ladi Kwali Hall of the Abuja Continental Hotel, featured a total of nine bouts across featherweight, middleweight, lightweight, and women’s bantamweight divisions.
The main event saw Daniel Emeka triumph over Flex Munwe in the Middleweight division. In the co-main event, Cherif Drame lost to Marcel Kouadio (Middleweight), and Emmanuel Benard was defeated by Andre Mukiisi (Featherweight).
